Satisfying the tick list of Outdoor pursuits requires a capable vehicle. The 2024 Subaru Solterra EV is happy to oblige, offering premium performance, durability, comfort, and a selection of new tech.
Subaru’s first-ever all-electric SUV, the Solterra, is receiving updates for its second model year in 2024. The SUV will now include new features to enhance comfort, driver safety, and versatility. Despite the updates, the starting price for the three-trim lineup remains the same at $44,995 MSRP before any applicable federal, state, or local tax credits. Additionally, Subaru has confirmed that the 2024 Solterra will be eligible for federal tax credits of up to $7,500 for some owners.
Introducing the 2024 Solterra with exciting new features:
- Faster Charging:
The Solterra can charge its battery from 10% to 80% in 35 minutes. It also has a state of charge indicator that displays the estimated time to reach 80% or 100%. The upgraded battery conditioning system allows faster charging at temperatures below freezing, up to 80 minutes faster in certain conditions. At home, the Solterra offers affordable Level 1 or Level 2 charging compatibility. - All-New EyeSight System:
The 2024 Solterra debuts the advanced Subaru EyeSight driver-assistance system. It can travel in its lane at speeds up to 25 mph with driver supervision and change lanes on command by activating a turn signal. It also includes Front Cross Traffic Alert for safer intersections and features like Blind Spot Monitors, Rear Camera Detection with Pedestrian Warning, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Lane Tracing and Road Sign Assist, and the newly added DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers.
Critical updates for 2024 include introducing Subaru’s all-new advanced driver-assistance system, Subaru EyeSight, which makes the Solterra the first vehicle in Subaru’s lineup to feature this technology. Enhancements in battery technology will also improve the Solterra’s charging capabilities.
Additional upgrades for the 2024 Solterra include a redesigned steering wheel with regenerative braking force paddle switches, improved charging performance through more efficient battery conditioning, and the inclusion of standard roof rails with a static load capacity rated up to 700 pounds and a dynamic load capacity of up to 176 pounds.
