Get ready to be captivated by the New scented Body Cream and Candle set from designer Azzedine Alaia. The fragrance is inspired by the designer’s memories of childhood spent in Tunisia like water poured over hot brick walls.
“My perfume is not reasonable — it makes time lie. I dreamed of it like an archaeologist dreams of sculptures from antiquity lying at the bottom of the sea for millennia, sculptures of perfect bodies, matched only by the women of today — an ideal and timeless beauty.” says designer Azzedine Alaia.
The scent is based on the contrast of cool tones, such as red pepper, and oriental, hot flavors, like musk. It opens with airy notes and pink pepper. Middle notes include freesia and peony flowers, placed at the base of animalistic tones and musk.
The luxurus body cream and scented candle are the new addition to the Alaia collection and will be available in September exclusively at Saks Fith Avenue Strores.
About Azzedine Alaia
Alaïa was born in Tunis, Tunisia, on 26 February 1940.[1] His parents were wheat farmers but his glamorous twin sister inspired his love for couture.[2] A French friend of his mother fed Alaïa’s instinctive creativity with copies of Vogue. He lied about his age[3] to get himself into the local École des Beaux-Arts in Tunis, where he gained valuable insights into the human form and began studying sculpture.
