Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI.PK), will roll into Tulsa, Okla., from June 17-21, with its latest vehicles including the 825 horsepower wide body Shelby Super Snake and a developmental 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 for the 46th Annual Mid-America Ford Shelby Nationals. The five-day Ford and Shelby festival will highlight the capabilities of those cars, as well as the Shelby F-150 V8 powered pickup and Shelby Raptor muscle truck.
“The Mid-America Ford and Shelby Nationals is an important annual celebration of high performance,” said Gary Patterson, president of Shelby American. “It attracts fans from across the nation for the road racing, parade, car show and drag racing. The event is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate the astonishing capabilities of our vehicles to those who value ultra-performance and truly appreciate the heritage of Shelby.”
Shelby American’s line-up includes the amazing Shelby trucks and wickedly powerful Super Snake Mustangs. Those attending will be among the first to see Shelby American’s 2020 Shelby GT500 development vehicle, which is being used to evaluate its enhancements to the super car.
Shelby American will make demonstration runs with the 2020 Shelby Super Snake Mustang on Hallett Motor Racing Circuit throughout Thursday and Friday. It will display that car along with a 2018 Wide Body Super Snake, 2020 Shelby F-150 and 2020 Shelby Baja Raptor at the Tulsa Drag Strip, as well as the car show on Sunday at the Southern Hills Marriott.
The Friday night parking lot party will feature speakers from Team Shelby and Shelby American at the Southern Hills Marriott. The Team Shelbycar club will show the Adam Carolla produced film “Shelby American: The Carroll Shelby Story” courtesy of the Carroll Shelby family at the party. The next day, Team Shelby will power a free Poker Run on Saturday for anyone who registers online via the event website before the deadline.
