I was invited to the grand opening of The Herb Box a 3,100 sq ft urban chic Phoenix location at The Colony Midtown. The Herb Box began as a whisper of an idea to offer high-end catering that would incorporate always fresh and seasonal ingredients into its cuisine. That concept quickly evolved into two locations in Scottsdale and now a third venture in to Phoenix.
We were treated to their delicious catering menu the attention to detail was superb from banana peel chips on a red wagon to veggies with dip in cup. And the entrées were a surprising mix of flavors such as the sweet potato tacos and wild mushroom risotto cakes to name a few.
And just when you thought it could not get any sweeter it did! With a spectacular Spring Garden of delightful red velvet and chocolate cake pops, cookies, and mini cups of lemon meringue and double chocolate delight. The creativity was just as amazing as the food itself.
An eclectic mixology drink menu is sure to please all. Their Skinny Margarita a blend of Herradura tequila, crema de cassis, agave nectar and lime juice will sure refresh you a on hot Arizona day.
And their regular menu is as magnificent as their catering creations. I tasted their grapefruit and sugar charred salmon a mixture of snap peas, fennel, blackberries, pistachio, orange, charred onion, black quinoa and snow pea shoots.
The serrano-avocado shrimp salad will win your culinary heart with its crispy shrimp, avocado toast, organic arugula, crisp fried fennel, pancetta, sweet hot serrano glaze, and lemon-honey vinaigrette.
As you see so much to taste at The Herb Box at The Midtown Colony 5538 N 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014 location. I invite you to taste a culinary delight at The Herb Box.
Until next time,
Sandra
